Gumi Ramyun Festival 2026: A K-Food Stop for Groups

26 October 2026 · Explera Trade Desk · 4 min read

Quick answer: The 2026 Gumi Ramyun Festival runs from 6 to 8 November around Gumi Station in North Gyeongsang, with a ramyeon restaurant zone of local recipes and shuttle coaches from five cities. Explera DMC Korea can fit it into a rail day between Seoul and Daegu or Busan for food-minded groups.

What is the Gumi Ramyun Festival?

Gumi City holds the festival each November around Gumi Station, and the 2026 edition runs from Friday 6 to Sunday 8 November. The centrepiece is a ramyeon restaurant zone where local businesses serve their own recipes, chosen through document screening and on-site cooking tests.

For the festival the city runs Kakao T shuttle coaches on seven routes, from Seoul Station, Jamsil and Sadang in the capital area and from Daegu, Busan, Daejeon and Gwangju. Each route runs only if there is enough demand.

Why put a ramyeon stop in a group programme?

  • Clients already know the product. Korean instant noodles travel through dramas, variety shows and supermarket shelves; a festival turns that familiarity into an afternoon.
  • It sits on the route south. Gumi is on the Gyeongbu Line between Seoul and Daegu. KTX trains call at Gimcheon(Gumi) Station, a coach transfer away, so the stop works on a transfer day.
  • It does not need a whole day. Two or three hours at the festival fits between a morning departure from Seoul and an evening in Daegu or Busan.

How we plan it

  • Three dates only. The 2026 festival is 6 to 8 November; outside those dates we do not sell it.
  • Our coach, not the public shuttle. The Kakao T shuttle is booked by individuals and runs on demand, so groups travel by their own coach.
  • Weekend crowds. Saturday and Sunday will be busiest, so we steer groups to Friday or to earlier slots where we can.
  • Dietary needs. Most ramyeon broths contain meat or seafood; we check vegetarian, halal and allergy options before confirming.
