Busan's Blueline Park for Groups: Sky Capsule, Beach Train

10 October 2026 · Explera Trade Desk · 5 min read

Quick answer: Haeundae Blueline Park in Busan runs two rides on a disused coastal railway. The Sky Capsule is a small car for up to four people on an elevated track of about 2 km between Mipo and Cheongsapo; the Beach Train runs about 4.8 km between Mipo and Songjeong with six stops, roughly 30 minutes one way. Tickets are sold by time slot, and capsules seat four at most, so a coach group is split across many cars and slots. Weekends and holidays sell out early. Explera DMC Korea books the slots, splits the group and places the coach at the right end of the line.

The two rides

  • Sky Capsule. Small cars for up to four people, on an elevated track of about 2 km between Mipo and Cheongsapo, with sea views all the way.
  • Beach Train. A larger train at ground level, about 4.8 km between Mipo and Songjeong with six stops, roughly 30 minutes one way.
  • Walking path. A path runs alongside the old line for guests who prefer to walk part of the coast.

Moving a group through it

  • Many capsules. At four per car, a group of 30 needs eight or more capsules; we book consecutive slots so the group stays together.
  • Mix the rides. Some guests take the Sky Capsule and others the Beach Train, meeting at Cheongsapo or Songjeong.
  • Book early. Weekend, holiday and sunset slots sell out first.
  • One way is enough. The coach drops the group at Mipo and waits at the far end, so no one rides back.

Fitting it into a Busan day

  • Haeundae morning. Pair it with Haeundae Beach and Dongbaek Island before lunch.
  • Seafood lunch. Cheongsapo and Songjeong both suit a group lunch after the ride.
  • Haedong Yonggungsa. The seaside temple is a short coach ride further up the coast.
  • Accessibility. Stations have steps and platforms; we check access for guests with limited mobility.

Why it works

It is one of Busan's most photographed experiences, guests remember the capsules, and it gives a coach programme a slow, scenic hour by the sea.

The work is in the slots and the split. Booked well, it runs smoothly for a full coach; booked late, a group ends up spread across an afternoon.
