Quick answer: Since 28 May 2026, Indonesian tour groups of three or more can enter Korea visa-free for up to 15 days, under a temporary Justice Ministry measure that runs to the end of December 2026. Korean agencies register the list 24 hours before entry. Explera DMC Korea plans halal meals, prayer time and guiding around it.
What the visa-free measure says
- Who. Indonesian tour groups of three or more people.
- How long. Up to 15 days in Korea.
- When. From 28 May 2026 through the end of December 2026. We found no announcement beyond that date.
- The list. Korean travel agencies must register the tourist list on a government website 24 hours before entry, and the Justice Ministry screens it for people under entry restrictions or with a history of illegal stays.
What it means for the agent
- Groups, not individuals. The waiver is for tour groups arranged through Korean agencies, so a solo traveller needs the usual route.
- Names early. The list is due 24 hours before entry, but we ask for passport details much earlier so a problem is found while it can be fixed.
- A screened guest is out. Anyone excluded on screening cannot travel under the waiver, so check the whole list.
- Time limit. Book travel dates inside the period and keep a back-up route if the measure is not extended.
Halal, prayer and guiding
- Halal. We plan meals with halal sourcing stated in writing, as set out in our halal briefing.
- Prayer time. We build prayer breaks and a place to pray into each day, so the programme does not run against them.
- Language. Bahasa Indonesia-speaking guides are arranged on request, subject to availability.
- Ramadan and Eid. Check the Islamic calendar for the travel month, and tell us early so meals and pacing can change.
Where groups go
Seoul is the natural base, with palaces, markets and food. Busan and Jeju add a coast and an island, and we check each route for a Muslim-friendly day.
For groups whose members need a visa rather than the waiver, our group-visa briefing covers the application-fee waiver and what the file needs.
Planned with the agent
